BEARING FRUIT

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Matthew 7:17 As born-again believers we ought to bear fruit. The world will know us by our fruit that we are Christians and not by our mere confession. There has to be a distinct difference between a believer and someone who is an unbeliever. We are in the world but not of the world. In the book of Acts, the disciples were called Christians because they were Christ-like, they were identified with Christ. Therefore, Christianity is a lifestyle. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Challenges are a part of life. They are tests of life and we all go through them. Challenges don’t defeat a man but a man’s wrong response to challenges can defeat him. Challenges are not there to destroy us, but to make us stronger, wiser and better. This world presents us challenges, however when you are born again you overcome the world. As believers we overcome by our faith. Faith is our victory. We are not moved by what we see, hear or feel but we are moved by the Word of God. We walk by faith and not by sight. In the midst of challenges, we stand on the Word of God and believe His promises. Our faith comes before our possession. We believe it first and then we will see it. No mountain or giant can stand before faith. By faith we can move mountains and by faith we can slay giants. Faith pleases God. Faith gets God on the scene. But without faith ...
