FAITH WORKS THROUGH LOVE

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything but faith working through love.

Galatians 5:6

Many want to walk in the gifts of the Spirit but faith works through love. The greatest secret to walking in the gifts of the Spirit is walking in love, loving God and loving people. Your faith will work when you love God and people.

Love is the foundation and it is at the core of our Christian faith. It is the first and greatest commandment. It is all about love. Walking in love is what Christianity is all about, your love for God and people.

Jesus said to him, “’You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 22:37-40

When you love God you spend time with God and when you love people you spend time with people. When you love God you give to God and when you love people you give to people.

Love manifests itself in giving. You can give your time, resources, help, etc. you always have something you can give whether big or small. When God loved he gave as an indication of His love.

For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Faith, hope and love work together. Faith is for now, hope is for the future and love is for always, they all work together to produce the results that we want in life. When you have all three you will live a productive Christian life.

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me faith and thank You that the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
