DOING A GREAT WORK

So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?”

Nehemiah 6:3

When you serve as a minister, an elder, a worshipper, an intercessor, an usher, a counselor, in the media, in the maintenance or in the ministry of helps, whatever you do in the house of God, know that you are doing a great work.

It is a great thing to serve the Lord! If you knew that you were doing a great work, you would be faithful. You would show up for duty and do it with excellence. When you are faithful with what you have been given to do, God will promote you.

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor form the west, nor the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Psalm 75:6-7

If you are faithful in what is little you are faithful also in what is much. If you are faithful with little, God will give you greater responsibilities. Be faithful with what you have been given and God will promote you.

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much: and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

Luke 16:10

As you serve the Lord do not allow yourself to be distracted, focus on God’s work, build God’s house and advance His kingdom. You are serving the Almighty God. You are doing a great work and it is not in vain. Therefore, continue to do a great work.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Thought of the day: When I serve the Lord I’m doing a great work!

Prayer: Heavenly father, thank You for an opportunity to serve in Your house. Thank You for an opportunity to serve in You and Your children, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
