REJOICE!

This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

Today is a new day and you can rejoice and be glad in it. As a child of God, you can rejoice every day because you are forgiven, you are the healed, you are rich and you are blessed. No matter what your life looks like right now, you can rejoice. Do not let temporary circumstances still your joy, choose to rejoice.  You could be saying, “I have pain in my body or I’ve been diagnosed with an illness.” You see that is a fact and facts can change. What is the truth? By Jesus’ stripes you are healed.

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.

1 Peter 2:24

You could be saying, “I’m in debt and things are not looking good financially.” That is only a fact and facts can change. What is the truth? Jesus became poor that you may be rich and you are a joint-heir with Christ Jesus.

For you know the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

2 Corinthians 8: 9

You could be saying, “Things are not going alright for me, I’m not fruitful or productive and I seem to be stagnant.” That is only a fact and it can change. The truth is you are blessed and you can be fruitful and productive.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on the tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Galatians 3:13-14

No matter what you are going through, you can rejoice because joy is a choice. You can choose to rejoice amidst adverse circumstances. Choose to rejoice because the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Nehemiah 8:10

Thought of the day: Joy is a choice and I can choose to rejoice.

Confession: This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.
