SHINE

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:5 (NIV)

Child of God you are the light just as Jesus is the Light and you should go out there and shine. How do you shine? You shine by being like Jesus. Jesus preached the gospel, healed the sick and feed the hungry, you do likewise.

Share the gospel in your sphere of contact, pray for others and give to the poor. When you live this way, you will not be overcome by darkness but you will shine as the light.

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16

People in the world are in darkness and they need to the light, therefore shine before them. Let them see Jesus through you. Live to serve God and others, just like Jesus did. Be a servant of God and the people.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

Mark 10:45

You cannot serve people until you love people. The first thing you need to do is to love others. See others as valuable and important. Love God and love others. Life is about your relationship with God and your relationship with others. When you win in your relationship with God and your relationship with others, you win in life.

Let your light shine, be the difference maker, a pace setter and a world changer. Be the one that people can look up to and lead by example. Become the solution and not a problem in this broken world.

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Thought of the day: I shine when I become like Jesus.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
