THE WORD GIVES LIGHT

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming in to the world.

John 1:9

Many people are struggling with identity and do not know their purpose in life. Others do not have order in their lives and they struggle to live lives that are pleasing to God, consequently, they are always in trouble.

All of this is happening because they lack the Word in their lives. Child of God, the Word is the light of men. It brings order into a chaotic situation. The Word gives light.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Genesis 1:1-3

When God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was without form and void, but when God spoke the Word, things changed. The Word can bring order into your life; the Word can bring light into your life.

When you have the Word, you will know who you are, where you are from and where you are going. The Word can give you an identity, purpose and vision for your life. The Word can give you direction for your life. You have to be a man or woman of the Word. The Word of God gives light.

Follow the Word, study it, meditate upon it and obey it. You cannot go wrong with the Word and with the correct interpretation you can never be misled. When you follow God’s Word you will know where you are going.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
