FOLLOW CHRIST

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.

Colossians 2:6

To walk in Christ is to follow Christ! As you have received Christ, so you have to follow Him. You can follow Christ every day of your life by walking up each morning and putting on the Lord Jesus Christ.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Romans 13:14

You put on the Lord Jesus Christ by spending time with Him. You spend time with Him in secret, and when you come out of that secret place you walk in Him, meaning you follow Him.

You can walk in Him and follow Him because you have sensitized yourself to His voice. You have been with Him secret and when He speaks to you in public you can follow Him because you are sensitive to His voice.

And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.

John 10:4

You can put on Christ every day; you can spend time with Christ every day. This is the walk of a born again believer, you spend time with Christ and you walk in Him. You spend time with Christ and you follow Him.

Walking in Christ is the same as walking in the Spirit and walking in love. When you walk in Christ, walk in the Spirit and walk in love, you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh because you would have crucified the flesh.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:16

Thought of the day: When I spend time with Jesus I put on Jesus and when I put on Jesus I can follow Him.

Confession: I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
