THE SPIRIT OF REVIVAL

Blessed are those which do hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6

Those who want to be like Jesus have caught the spirit of revival. Those who hunger and thirst for Jesus, have caught the spirit of revival. God can use people who want to be like Jesus.

When you hunger you eat, when you thirst you drink. You have to come to a point where you hunger for the Word and thirst for prayer.

You have to come to a point where nothing satisfies you like the Word and prayer. When you love the Word and prayer you have caught revival. When you love God’s presence you have caught revival and God can use you.

God uses those who are hungry and thirsty. God won’t give you revival if you don’t want revival. God won’t give you souls if you don’t want souls. What do you want? God wants to satisfy your desire.

Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

You can only get revival when you want revival. You can only get souls when you want souls. You can only be like Jesus when you want to be like Jesus. You can only change the world when you want to change the world. God only uses those who want to be used by Him. He can choose you; however, He needs your cooperation to use you.

Can two walk together, except they are agreed?

Amos 3:3

People who got used by God wanted to be used by God. God didn’t go against their will. They hungered and thirsted after righteousness and they got filled.

Your life will go in the direction of your strongest desires. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, have caught the spirit of revival and they will be filled.

Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your mercy, LORD, and grant us Your salvation.

Psalm 85:6-7

Thought of the day: When I hunger and thirst for righteousness, I have caught the spirit of revival.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that when I’m hungry I can read the Word and when I’m thirsty I can pray, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
