DON’T HOLD TOO TIGHTLY TO THE WORLD

And those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.

1 Corinthians 7:31

This world is temporary; all that you see is temporary! Therefore, don’t be too attached to this world. Don’t love the world but love God. Don’t run after the world, but run after God and the world will run after you!

Make God your priority in life not the world. God lets us know that if we seek Him and if we will put Him first all these things will be added to us. So get your priorities straight!

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:33

All these things are for us to enjoy but we will leave them behind. Therefore, don’t hold tightly to them. When you don’t hold tightly to material things you will not idolize them and you won’t have a problem giving them away.

The Word of God teaches us to flee idolatry and keep ourselves from the love of money. We should be free to love and pursue God! Blessings should be pursuing us, not the other way around.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 23:6

The world is passing away but God remains forever! The world is passing away but people remain forever! Know what matters the most, your relationship with God and your relationship with people. The world is passing away but the kingdom of God remains forever!

How great are His signs, and how mighty His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation.

Daniel 4:3

Thought of the day: The world is passing away but the kingdom of God remains forever!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, this world is passing away but Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Thank You that I’m born into Your kingdom, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
