PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

Pray without ceasing.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Some people think that to pray without ceasing means to pray the whole day, but pray without ceasing simply means to pray every day. Jesus told us that when we pray to go into our room and shut the door pray to the Father who sees in secret and He will reward us openly.

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Matthew 6:6

Well Paul now says that we have to do it every day. Jesus said something similar when he told us to watch and pray which simply means to be alert and pray and we have to do it every day.

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mark 14:38

But why should we pray every day? Prayer gives you understanding and prayer makes you sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. So when you pray at the beginning of your day you become sensitive to the Holy Spirit that particular day. So when He leads you, you just follow.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Romans 8:14

We also call praying everyday daily contact and it is a sure way to live a glorious life. If you wanted to know how to have a successful ministry, business, career, family and life in general this is the way to do it. Pray without ceasing.

Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

Proverbs 4:5

Thought of the day: When I pray every day, I pray without ceasing.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
