STRENGTHEN YOURSELF IN THE LORD

Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

1 Samuel 30:6

Things could be going wrong all around you, challenges everywhere, and negative thoughts attacking your mind even to a point of depression. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself and wallowing up in depression, stand up and strengthen yourself in the Lord.

We live in the world that has challenges, Jesus said that in the world you will have tribulations, but cheer up because Jesus has overcome the world. Strengthen yourself in the Lord and be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Ephesians 6:10

When you are weak you cannot overcome challenges you face in life. When you are weak you cannot have the victory and take possession your inheritance. You have to be strong.

Strong people fight and they do not give up. They are in it to win it. The Lord can teach you to fight and turn you into a warrior. We are in the army of the Lord and we are born to win. Victory belongs to Jesus and victory belongs to us.

Therefore, strengthen yourself in the Lord and be strong in the Lord. Speak in other tongues, study the Word, speak the Word, fellowship with other believers and listen to praise and worship and. He said to be strong in the Lord not be strong in yourself.

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those of whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Nehemiah 8:10

Thought of the day: The joy of the Lord is my strength.

MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL SHOULD LIVE FROM THE GOSPEL

Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14 Ministers of the gospel should not starve because they have a job. They have to minister to the Body of Christ and get a salary from doing so. If you are a minister of the gospel focus on your calling and God will take care of you. Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him upon Peter confirming it, He expressly told him to feed the flock. As a minister of the gospel you are called to feed and take care of the flock. When you do so, God will not have a problem paying you. A laborer is worthy of his wages! And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for a laborer is worthy of his wages. Luke 10:7 As a minister, give yourself to prayer and the Word, minister to the flock and do the work of an evangelist, that means win souls. God always takes care of people who win souls.
