A LIFE OF HONOUR

Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the LORD says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

1 Samuel 2:30

Honour is one of the highest laws in kingdom of God. Honour God, honour your parents, honour elders and those who are in authority. When you honour God, God will honour you. When you honour your parents, you will live a long life and it shall be well with you. When you honour those who are in authority, you will be blessed in the city and the country.

 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.

Ephesians 6:1-2

To honour means to respect, value, serve, obey and bless those whom you honour. You have to honour especially those who have authority over you. When you honour others, God will bless you. When you honour others, you will also be honoured.

A man who lives a life of honour lives a life that leads to blessings. When you live a life of honour, people will also honour you. How you treat others affects how others treat you.

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 7:12

Honour others, speak well of others and be good to others. You will reap what you sow, if people are not treating you well, it is time for some introspection. Ask yourself, “How do I treat others?” How you treat others says a lot about you.

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

1 Peter 2:17

Thought of the day: How I treat people affects how people treat me.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching me to live a life of honour, thank You that when I honour others I will be honoured, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.
