GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.

2 Samuel 22:21

Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living.

Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Isaiah 3:10

The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living.

It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.

The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead.

Proverbs 11:8

You can totally transform your life by living righteously, so much so that those who knew your past would be shocked. Therefore, do not worry about what your life looks like right now, but be concerned about your future. If you would live righteously now, God will give you a bright future.

Evil pursues sinners, but to the righteous, good shall be repaid.

Proverbs 13:21

Thought of the day: God rewards righteous living.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Word teaches me to live righteously and thank You that You reward righteous living, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God.
