One major reason why debt is not smart is the interest that works against you. That is why God didn’t want His people to charge interest against one another when they lend money to each other. The devil has blinded them to the truth, so you need to pray for them to see. You need to pray for them to receive the gospel. Ephesians 6:10 Many people in these last days have gotten weak and that is because they think they have to be strong in themselves. The Bible did not say be strong in yourself, but it says be strong in the Lord. However, some people want to be strong but they don’t want to pray, study the Word or go to church. Consequently, they remain weak. If you are going to be strong in the Lord, you have to engage in spiritual exercises. Some listen to their feelings, they feel weak and then think they are weak. That is not what the Bible teaches. As the righteous, we walk by faith and not by sight or sensory perception. It doesn’t matter how you feel because you can change it by your words. When you give first fruits, pay tithes, give offerings and partner with ministries, you direct your heart to be in the things of God. Your heart will follow your treasure. We ought to take giving to the kingdom of God seriously, because where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. We should not serve money, but serve God with our money.
