When you acknowledge God at the beginning of your day He goes ahead of you, arranges things in your favour and gives you wisdom for your day. Proverbs 11:11 Some people are negative, when something bad happens they talk about it and spread it, and then they wait for next bad thing to happen and they spread that also. What they don’t realise is that what you focus on grows. What you constantly think about and talk about grows. If you constantly talk about bad things, more bad things will continue to happen so that you can continue to talk about them. Conversely, when you constantly talk about good things, more good things will continue to happen so that you can continue to talk about them. Do you want to constantly talk about the goodness of God or the bad things that the enemy is doing? Do you want to praise and bless the Lord or do you want to murmur and complain? He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit. Proverbs 17:27 A man of understanding is of a calm spirit, a man of prayer is of a calm spirit. A man of prayer can control his emotions particularly when he prays very much in tongues. Warren Buffet says that if you cannot control your emotions, you cannot control your money. However, as Christians self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. We can walk in self-control when we learn to pray in the Spirit. We can bear the fruit of the Spirit when we learn to pray in the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 When you pray in the Spirit you crucify the flesh. When you pray in the Spirit you die to the flesh. I like to pray in the Spirit every morning. I die daily to the flesh. But the path of the just is like the shinning sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18 The just go from faith to faith, strength to strength and glory to glory. The just keep winning! Their path keeps getting better and better, brighter and brighter. Their lives are full of glory. The just are those who are born again. The just are those who walk by faith that is to say, those who live by faith. Faith is believing and speaking and faith is believing and taking action. The just believe the Word and speak the Word, the just believe the Word and act on the Word. This keeps them on the winning path. For the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17 Faith is lifestyle. The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7 Although debt is not sin but debt is not wise. One major reason why debt is not smart is the interest that works against you. That is why God didn’t want His people to charge interest against one another when they lend money to each other. If you lend to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest. Exodus 22:25 However, in our world today when you borrow, the lender will charge you interest. When you borrow you become servant to the lender. It is difficult to get ahead financially living in debt. Debt is not smart, because when you do the math, interest accumulated through savings or investments will put you at a much better place financially. You can win souls in your home, neighborhood, at your workplace, institution of learning, in the bus, at the park, etc. You can win souls practically anywhere. You have to be ready in and out of season to share the Word with others. It goes without saying that to be an effective soul winner you have to be prayerful. You need to pray for the lost. The devil has blinded them to the truth, so you need to pray for them to see. You need to pray for them to receive the gospel. When you give first fruits, pay tithes, give offerings and partner with ministries, you direct your heart to be in the things of God. Your heart will follow your treasure. We ought to take giving to the kingdom of God seriously, because where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. We should not serve money, but serve God with our money. Don’t let money dictate whether you can give to God or not. Serve God with your money.
