HAVE A MIND TO WORK

So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.

Nehemiah 4:6

If you are going to achieve anything for the Lord you must have a mind to work. If you are going to advance God’s kingdom you must have the mind to work. If you are going to change lives and advance humanity you must have the mind to work.

There is a place for you at the top. However, in order to get to the top, you must have a mind to work. You can be the difference that you want to see and there will be profit in all your labour.

In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty.

Proverbs 14:23

So put your hands to the plough and engage in God’s work. You can do God’s work in your unique way, utilizing your unique gift. You are necessary and you can advance God’s kingdom. Your unique personality, gifts and creativity are needed in this world.

We are God’s servants and servants to one another. If you don’t want to serve others you can’t go very far in life. The greatest in the kingdom is the servant of all. Jesus said that He did not come to be served but to serve. We are here to serve and make a difference.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many.

Mark 10:45

Whatever you do for the Lord is not in vain. You are doing God’s work and advancing His kingdom. You can make tremendous impact when you have a mind to work.

Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Thought of the day: I can make tremendous impact when I have a mind to work.

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL SHOULD LIVE FROM THE GOSPEL

Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14 Ministers of the gospel should not starve because they have a job. They have to minister to the Body of Christ and get a salary from doing so. If you are a minister of the gospel focus on your calling and God will take care of you. Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him upon Peter confirming it, He expressly told him to feed the flock. As a minister of the gospel you are called to feed and take care of the flock. When you do so, God will not have a problem paying you. A laborer is worthy of his wages! And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for a laborer is worthy of his wages.
