AVOID DEBT

The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Proverbs 22:7

Although debt is not sin but debt is not wise. One major reason why debt is not smart is the interest that works against you. That is why God didn’t want His people to charge interest against one another when they lend money to each other.

If you lend to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest.

Exodus 22:25

However, in our world today when you borrow, the lender will charge you interest. When you borrow you become servant to the lender. It is difficult to get ahead financially living in debt.

Debt is not smart, because when you do the math, interest accumulated through savings or investments will put you at a much better place financially. Rather than having interest work against you through debt.

You can live a debt free life! You can be financially free! It takes discipline and following God’s ways of handling money. Some people will tell you that there is smart debt, but the Word of God doesn’t teach that.

The Word teaches that when you are blessed, you will be the lender and not the borrower and guess what you are already blessed because you are the seed of Abraham.

The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give you the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

Deuteronomy 28:12

Thought of the day: I don’t have to be a borrower, I can be a lender.

Confession: I can live a debt free life!

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL SHOULD LIVE FROM THE GOSPEL

Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14 Ministers of the gospel should not starve because they have a job. They have to minister to the Body of Christ and get a salary from doing so. If you are a minister of the gospel focus on your calling and God will take care of you. Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him upon Peter confirming it, He expressly told him to feed the flock. As a minister of the gospel you are called to feed and take care of the flock. When you do so, God will not have a problem paying you. A laborer is worthy of his wages! And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for a laborer is worthy of his wages.
