DO THE WORK OF AN EVANGELIST

But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

1 Timothy 4:5

To do the work of an evangelist does not necessarily mean to go out there and hold crusades, although you can do that, if God is leading you in that direction.

To do the work of an evangelist means to win souls. This is what you should do as a Christian, whether you are a minister of the gospel or not.

You can win souls in your home, neighborhood, at your workplace, institution of learning, in the bus, at the park, etc. You can win souls practically anywhere. You have to be ready in and out of season to share the Word with others.

It goes without saying that to be an effective soul winner you have to be prayerful. You need to pray for the lost. The devil has blinded them to the truth, so you need to pray for them to see. You need to pray for them to receive the gospel.

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

2 Corinthians 4:4

When you win souls you advance God’s kingdom. When you win souls you do the work of an evangelist. There is a great reward for those who win souls, if you truly want to serve God then become a soul winner.

Preach the gospel and back it up with your lifestyle. It has become increasingly easy to share the Word with others through all the social media platforms, the media and the internet. Make use of them.

It is time to preach the gospel, win souls and turn many to righteousness. God has given us the world to manage and it is time that we fill it with the knowledge of the glory of God.

And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:15

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL SHOULD LIVE FROM THE GOSPEL

Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14 Ministers of the gospel should not starve because they have a job. They have to minister to the Body of Christ and get a salary from doing so. If you are a minister of the gospel focus on your calling and God will take care of you. Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him upon Peter confirming it, He expressly told him to feed the flock. As a minister of the gospel you are called to feed and take care of the flock. When you do so, God will not have a problem paying you. A laborer is worthy of his wages! And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for a laborer is worthy of his wages.
