BLESS YOUR CITY

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Proverbs 11:11

Some people are negative, when something bad happens they talk about it and spread it, and then they wait for next bad thing to happen and they spread that also. What they don’t realise is that what you focus on grows. What you constantly think about and talk about grows.

If you constantly talk about bad things, more bad things will continue to happen so that you can continue to talk about them. Conversely, when you constantly talk about good things, more good things will continue to happen so that you can continue to talk about them.

Do you want to constantly talk about the goodness of God or the bad things that the enemy is doing? Do you want to praise and bless the Lord or do you want to murmur and complain? Isaiah knew where to focus his attention.

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, according to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses.

Isaiah 63:7

Focus on the good things that are happening in your life and in the lives of others and constantly talk about them. Speak good things about your city and pray for it. Remember as a child of God, you are the one with the authority. So, bless your city and set your attention on the right things.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.

Philippians 4:8

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL SHOULD LIVE FROM THE GOSPEL

Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14 Ministers of the gospel should not starve because they have a job. They have to minister to the Body of Christ and get a salary from doing so. If you are a minister of the gospel focus on your calling and God will take care of you. Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him upon Peter confirming it, He expressly told him to feed the flock. As a minister of the gospel you are called to feed and take care of the flock. When you do so, God will not have a problem paying you. A laborer is worthy of his wages! And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for a laborer is worthy of his wages.
