PRAY FOR YOUR CITY

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 11:11 As a child of God, you can pray for your city and bless your city. You can effect changes in your city with your prayers. Don’t just sit and watch things get out of hand in your city but pray and bless your city. God can change things in your city. However, He is waiting for you to pray. God will be moved when you are moved to pray. If you want God to interfere in the affairs your city, then pray and bless your city. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If you will pray for your city, God will intervene. Your prayers make the difference! Don’t focus on the negative things that are happening in your city, don’t entertain them, don’t spread them. Focus on what God can do and what God

PRAY FOR THE SAINTS IN YOUR CHURCH

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18 Pray for pastors, elders and members of your church. When you pray for the saints in your church, you begin to connect with them. You begin to flow with them and become a team player. When you pray for the saints in your church God will position you to serve effectively in your church. When you pray for the saints in your church you will unite with them. Let brotherly love continue. Hebrews 13:1 When you pray for the saints in your church, others will also pray for you. God will make happen for you what you make happen for others. If you don’t forget others in your prayers, others won’t forget you in their prayers. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12 You can make a difference in your church by praying for the saints in your churc

PRAY FOR LEADERS IN YOUR COUNTRY

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 2 Timothy 2:1-2 As a child of God it is your responsibility to pray for leaders in your country. Leaders in your country are appointed by God and you need to pray for them not criticize them. Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as those who are sent by him for the punishment of evil doers and for the praise of those who do good. 1 Peter 2:13 God can speak to their hearts to favor the church. God can speak to their hearts to make decisions that are in line with His Word. That is where your prayers come in; your prayers are needed for God to work in your leaders’ hearts. The king’s heart is in the hands of the LORD, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherev

THE WORD WILL MAKE YOU PURE

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. John 15:3 When you keep hearing and reading God’s Word on a daily basis, it cleanses you, makes you pure and holy. If you were struggling with sin, just give yourself to the Word of God. Keep hearing and reading it on a daily basis and your behavior will line up with God’s Word. The Word of God is daily bread! You need to go for the Word on a daily basis. It is spiritual food and faith food for the inner man. If you want to increase your faith, all you need to do is increase your intake of the Word. Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11 Jesus cleanses you with the Word! Jesus sanctifies you with the Word! He makes you pure and holy with the Word! The Word will make you the person that God wants you to be. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:17 The Word is of outmost importance! The Word is the main thing! The Word is the wisdom of God! You cannot claim to be a man or wo

THE LORD KEEPS YOU FROM FALLING

Uphold my steps in Your paths, that my footsteps may not slip. Psalm 17:5 Some Christians think that they might fail or fall. If you are a Christian don’t think like that, trust in the Lord because God loves you and He is able to keep you from falling. Christianity is all about God loving you and you loving God and people. If you love God, He will cause to be at the right place at the right time and He will certainly keep you from falling. Jesus said to him, “’You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.’” This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 We love God because He first loved us. When you know how much God loves you, you will love Him. Rely on God’s love for you, focus on God’s love for you and you will fall in love with the Lord. In this the love of God was manifested tow

GIVE YOUR WAY OUT OF POVERTY

Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, for you do not know what evil will be on the earth. Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 Giving is the way out of poverty! However many people stay on the same level financially because they don’t know how to give themselves out of poverty. You can give your way out of poverty. You cannot give the same amount all the time. For instance, if you were giving on a R 1 level you have to increase your giving and give on the R 10 level and if you were giving on a R 10 level you have to increase your giving and give on a R 100 level and so forth. If you were feeding 1 poor family you have to increase your giving and give to 10 poor families and if you were giving to 10 poor families you have to increase your giving and give to 100 poor families and so forth. When you give this way, you give your way out of poverty. Your level of giving determines your level of blessings. If you want to i

FOLLOW YOUR PASTOR

And I will give you shepherd according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. Jeremiah 3:15 Your pastor is appointed for you to feed you with knowledge and understanding. However you see many Christians who don’t come to church and miss their pastor’s messages that are meant for their benefit. Learn to attend church faithfully, go to church every Sunday. You need your pastor’s messages. Your pastor is appointed by God for your benefit and he has the word in season for you. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. Proverbs 25:11 Learn to listen to your pastor’s messages and it will save you a lot of trouble. Many Christians fall into many problems because they don’t follow their pastor’s messages. God has sent your pastor to you to teach you and lead you in the way of the Lord. When you have problems, your pastor can help you because God has given him the wisdom to help you. A shepherd can help his own sheep. Don’t run to

THE LORD DOES NOT FORGET THE HUMBLE

Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. Psalm 10:12 Humble people pray! Humble people serve! Humble people speak well of others! Humble people humble themselves in God’s sight and that is why they are able to humble themselves before others. The Lord does not forget humble people but He lifts up humble people. The Lord promotes humble people! Therefore, humble yourself, and things will turn around for you. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10 Humble people pray because it takes humility to pray and proud people don’t think they have to pray. They do not realize how much they need God. Yet they want God to bless them and that from a distance, but if you truly want God to bless you, you have to come close to Him. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their

GO FORWARD

And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.” Exodus 14:15 It is time to go forward! Forget what is in the past and go forward. Forget how they have wronged you or rejected you. Forget your past mistakes and your past failures, put them behind you and move forward. There is more for you in your future than in your past. What is ahead of you is more important than what is behind you. There are better days ahead! Stop playing the past in your head and start imagining a great future. Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19 Start envisioning a bright future. Where your mind goes you will follow! If you can dream it, you can live it. If you can see it, you can have it. What do you see? If you can’t see it, you can’t have it. Play with your imaginat

A LIFE OF HONOUR

Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the LORD says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2:30 Honour is one of the highest laws in kingdom of God. Honour God, honour your parents, honour elders and those who are in authority. When you honour God, God will honour you. When you honour your parents, you will live a long life and it shall be well with you. When you honour those who are in authority, you will be blessed in the city and the country.   Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-2 To honour means to respect, value, serve, obey and bless those whom you honour. You have to honour especially those who have authority over

GOD IS NOT A RESPECTOR OF PERSONS

For there is no partiality with God. Romans 2:11 God is a righteous and just God and He does not show partiality. Just because someone is a leader, rich or educated, it does not mean God will treat them better than someone who is a follower, poor or illiterate. God rewards every man according to his work. We are all the same in God’s eyes. For He repays man according to his work, and makes man to find reward according to his way. Job 34:11 You don’t get favoured by God because of your background or position. We all have to obey God’s Word the same. The Word of God teaches us not to show partiality because God does not show partiality. God honours those who honour Him. Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the LORD says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2:30 If anyone would obey the Lord,

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?

And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 11:32-33 The spies who brought back a bad report saw themselves as grasshoppers. Furthermore, they believed that their enemies saw them the same way and they were right, because people will see you the way you see yourself. You cannot see yourself sick and be healthy. You cannot see yourself poor and be rich. You cannot see yourself as a failure and be a success.   Can you envision your healing and your prosperity? How do you see yourself? How you see yourself comes out in your words and actions. You cannot see yourself as a failure and talk and act like a success. For as he thi

GOD REWARDS RIGHTEOUS LIVING

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. 2 Samuel 22:21 Righteousness according to the Old Testament is righteous living. However, in the New Testament we have received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ. When David in the Old Testament said that the LORD rewarded him according to his righteousness, he is essentially saying that the LORD rewarded him for his righteous living. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 The above Scripture would then mean: “Say to those who live righteously that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God rewards righteous living. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself right now, if you would continue living righteously, living according to God’s Word sooner than later your life would begin to change. You can turn things around as you live righteously.

TELL GOD WHAT YOU WANT

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 God is a gentle Man, although He sees what you are going through, He will not interfere in your business unless you ask Him to. So, when you go through challenges don’t just ignore them and keep quiet about them, tell God what you want. Many people go through challenges for a long time without really telling God what they want, so God does not do anything to change their situation. The Word lets us know that if we have problems we should pray. Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. James 5:13 Some people are prayer warriors, they pray for many things and many people but they hardly pray for themselves. You have to learn to pray for yourself and tell God what you want. I believe that some of the most powerful prayers that could be prayed for you are ones you pray yourself. There are examples of how saints prayed for them

STRENGTHEN YOURSELF IN THE LORD

Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 Things could be going wrong all around you, challenges everywhere, and negative thoughts attacking your mind even to a point of depression. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself and wallowing up in depression, stand up and strengthen yourself in the Lord. We live in the world that has challenges, Jesus said that in the world you will have tribulations, but cheer up because Jesus has overcome the world. Strengthen yourself in the Lord and be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10 When you are weak you cannot overcome challenges you face in life. When you are weak you cannot have the victory and take possession your inheritance. You have to be strong. Strong

PEACE

Peace I leave with you, My peace give I unto you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 God wants you to have peace not as the world but the peace that surpasses understanding. The world gives you peace when there seems to be quiet and safety. However, as a child of God, you can have peace in the midst of a storm. The storms of life could be raging all around you but you have peace on the inside. Jesus knew that you were going to have challenges. As a matter of fact, He said that in this world you will have tribulation. Jesus knows about the storms of life. However, He gives you peace in the midst of the storms of life. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33 The world walks by sight or sensory perception, but we walk by faith. We know that Jesus has overcome the world. We know t

THE PATH OF LIFE

You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 There is a path of life. Don’t just live anyhow you like. There are principles to life. The Word of God is the instruction manual for life and it reveals to us the path of life. It reveals to us principles to life. The Word of God will let you know how to live a victorious life. Life can be uncertain and unsteady but when you have found the path of life, you will come out on top. The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell below. Proverbs 15:24 When you go for the wisdom of God, you can live a beautiful life that keeps going upward and forward. When you live by God’s principles, you can live a glorious life that keeps getting better and better. The Word of God instructs us to get wisdom and understanding. A life of ever-increasing glory is in wisdom. A life of splendor is in wisdom. Wisdom is the main thing. Get

BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. Genesis 12:2 Now that you are blessed, look around you for those in need of what you have and be a blessing. You are blessed to be a blessing. There are many people out there who are in need of what you possess, begin to reach out to them. Start with those around you because charity begins at home. You have something big or small that you can give. There more you give the more you receive. You are blessed to be a blessing. If you would be a blessing to others, you will begin to live the blessed life. I have shown you in every way, by labouring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35 It is more blessed to give than to receive. The promise of blessing is to the giver not the receiver. When you give, a blessing is coming to you. What a blessing! Imagine if yo

OBEDIENCE ACTIVATES THE BLESSING

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 As a believer you are the blessed of the Lord. You are already blessed and no one can curse what the Lord has blessed. However, you have to activate the Lord’s blessing on your life and your obedience activates the blessing. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 You are blessed with every spiritual blessing and the spiritual blessings produce material blessings. When you walk in obedience to God’s Word you will see the blessing in operation in your life. A lifestyle of obedience to God’s Word activates the blessing.

YOU CAN BE A PROSPEROUS MAN

And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. Genesis 39:2 The Lord was with Joseph and he was a prosperous man. When the Lord is with you, you are a prosperous man or woman. Seek the Lord’s presence. The Lord’s presence will make you a prosperous man or woman. Follow after God, seek God, pursue God, He will make you a prosperous man or woman. There is victory in seeking God. There is prosperity, health, deliverance and wholeness in seeking God. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 When you seek after God, prosperity, health, deliverance and wholeness will be added to you. We do not pursue blessings; we pursue God and blessings pursue us. The Lord is our Shepherd and we follow Him, therefore goodness and mercy follow us. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD fore

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. 1 Timothy 1:18 If you have a prophecy spoken over your life it is time for warfare. It is time to wage war with your prophecy. Take the prophecy spoken over you and put it in your mouth. Speak the same prophecy over your life. Agree with God. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 Speak the same things with God. That is faith, faith speaks the same things with God and we overcome by our faith. Faith will put you over and it will make you an overcomer. Use your faith to wage war. And whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. 1 John 5:4 Put up a good fight and fight the good fight of faith. You have to fight in order to win. Wage war with prophecy. If there is no prophecy spoken over you, there is nothing to it. Use the Word and speak the Word over

REMAIN HOPEFUL

Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and there is hope for you, Jesus is your hope. It is not over until God says it is over. Remain hopeful. God is not through with you. Expect a turnaround, expect breakthrough and expect God to work all things for your good. He is working for you. A shift is about to take place. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 You have to have a constant expectation of good. Something good is about to happen and Bible hope does not disappoint. Keep thinking the best is yet to come, my best days are ahead of me and the rest of my life will be the best of my life. Thinking this way creates an expectation of good and it raises your expectations for your life. The good news is that God will meet you at your level of expectation. If

RAPTURED IN GLORY

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 One day I lay on my bed and I shut my eyes and immediately, I saw a vision. A beautiful and white veil was before me and a bright light like the sun shone behind it. A voice from behind the veil said to me, “get ready I am coming” and I knew it was the Lord. Friend, get ready Jesus is coming. How do you get ready? By expecting Him and when you expect Him you do His will. If He says, “go to church,” you go to church, if He says, “go preach the gospel,” you go preach the gospel, if He says, “stop this or that,” you stop this or that. You live for Him and you live to please Him. He is coming for a perfect church. Some may say, it has been more than two thousand years and Jesus has not come yet. Bear in mind, a thousand years are like but a day with the Lord. Furthermore, the Lord is not willing that people
